Debora Sarti has a degree in education from University Mackenzie at Sao Paulo,  Brazil, and a post-graduate certification in Arts Education and Community Engagement from Centennial College, Toronto. In the arts education field, she has worked for over 20 years as a drama teacher and educator. She started her career as a drama teacher with children between 4 to 13 years of age. In the classroom, she used specialized methodology based on the work of Peter Slade (Child Drama) and Viola Spolin (Theater Games). 

As an actress, Debora acted in plays for children and productions as a voice actor.

Debora’s research includes explorations into topics of the impact of theatre on kindergarten students and theatre-based education.
